Does the e-Stamp paper for rental agreement need to be notarized?
Notarization is only a measure to ensure that the parties or signatories in the agreement are authentic. It is not mandatory for any agreement and is only done to bring in an extra degree of authenticity. Rent agreements (whether executed on conventional/E-stamp paper) stand valid in court of law (Provided that stamp duty is paid directly or prospectively ) in case of a litigation.
