No! In case you need it for passport verification/ police clearance. I will advise you to open a bank account using that rental agreement copy and then use the bank account as a address proof. That will be the quickest way, even i did for police clearance when i had my passport issued. Rental agreement could be useful in cases like getting gas connection,aadhar card,opening bank account etc etc.
